Vows is a fictional wedding website for two people who met in a bookshop queue and argued about the book. The sample couple, venue, dates and guests are all invented.

Saturday, 4:00 pm

The ceremony, under the oak.

Four o’clock, outdoors, thirty minutes. Chairs for everyone, shade for most, and a plan B inside the barn if the weather has other ideas.

Saturday, 6:00 pm

Dinner at one long table.

Family-style plates, two short speeches, a first dance we have practised exactly once, and a band until late.

Sunday, 10:30 am

Brunch before you go.

Sunday morning on the porch for anyone still in town. No dress code, no schedule, good coffee.
